Notify the airline, hotel, police or relevant provider promptly. Ask for a written report that records dates, times, cause and outcome.
Save original receipts, reports, boarding passes, photographs, correspondence and proof of refunds or unrecoverable costs.
Check the claim notification and submission deadline in your policy, answer accurately and keep a copy of the completed submission.
